Safety

Same-day surgery has been widely adopted in the United States of America and a host of studies 1,2,3 prove that it is a safe and effective approach to joint replacements. The Team meets regularly and is mentored by international experts in same-day surgery. This discharge process allows patients to recover in their own environment with their home comforts. This creates a better experience for patients and their families during their recovery. We monitor our patients’ progress diligently, and we continue to see excellent results – to see our Same-Day replacement surgery outcomes click here.

Who is eligible?

According to our practice data, 70% of all patients requiring a joint replacement can qualify for same-day discharge. Patients who do not qualify for same-day discharge will be cared for through an enhanced recovery after surgery pathway. A thorough medical screening is conducted before the procedure to assess your eligibility for this discharge process. Factors such as medical history, comorbidities, support at home, and social circumstances will be taken into consideration. Primary and specialist care providers will consolidate results to build a holistic assessment of your unique situation. Due to this process, patients are better understood and optimized for their procedures.
